A LOCAL government special school has received a funding boost of $20,000.
Cranbourne’s Marnebek School is celebrating after receiving money to upgrade technical equipment.
The school will share in $15 million of Brumby Government grants to buy, hire, refurbish or upgrade technical equipment.
This includes items such as computer-aided drafting and manufacturing equipment, machining equipment, digital lathes and automotive and engineering equipment.
Marnebek School was opened in 2002 with a State Government contribution of $3.5 million.
The school offers educational and social programs to students aged between five and 18.
All students have been assessed as having a mild, moderate or profound intellectual disability.
