CASEY’S teenagers will be putting on their dancing shoes and hitting the dance floor as a new monthly teenage dance party hits the Hallam Senior Citizens Centre on Saturday 5 July.
The City of Casey’s Recreation Access Project (RAP) is introducing the program, for teenagers with a disability, which will commence on the first Saturday of every month.
City of Casey mayor Janet Halsall said the dance party was a great opportunity for young people with a disability to meet new people and have fun in a safe environment.
She said Casey was committed to developing and supporting recreation environments that were accessible to people with a disability.
The event kicks off at 5pm and goes to 7pm and costs $6, with carers being able to attend free. Refreshments included.
Professional DJ Sound Clash will be pumping the beats.
For further information please contact the City of Casey’s leisure respite coordinator on 9705 5200.
Participants who require support are requested to bring their own carer as no support will be provided.
