COMMUNITY noticeboards have been installed in Hampton Park as part of the Hampton Park Community Renewal (HPCR) project.
The initiative is a partnership between the City of Casey, Department of Planning and Community Development and the Hampton Park community.
The noticeboards have been installed in Hampton Park Shopping Centre, in front of Safeway and Coles, and provide an opportunity for residents to promote news about upcoming events and training courses.
Other parts of the HPCR project are moving ahead in leaps and bounds with the recent establishment of a committee made up of residents and non-resident community leaders.
The committee will play an important role in developing an action plan which will involve working with the council, government departments and non-government organisations.
Some of the priority projects proposed for the action plan include River Gum Reserve improvements, community transport for the local retirement village, fire safety education programs, festivals and events, and road and traffic improvements.
