TWO people have been arrested and charged in relation to a string of burglaries along Cranbourne’s High Street.
Last week the News reported four properties, including one business hit twice, had been broken into between 8 January and 12 January.
Beaurepaires, Cranbourne Sand and Soil, Cranbourne’s Cheapest Tyres and Adam’s Takeaway had all been targeted.
Police arrested a 19-year-old Cranbourne man and a teenager on 16 January in relation to a number of crimes.
The 19-year-old has been remanded in custody and scheduled to appear in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 14 February, while the teenager has been bailed to appear in Dandenong Children’s Court on 7 March.
The list of charges includes 16 burglaries, 17 thefts, three motor vehicle thefts, 10 thefts from motor vehicles, criminal damage, firearm offences and driving offences.
Police said charges had also been laid in relation to the recent break-in at tenpin bowling alley Bowland, on Berwick-Cranbourne Road.
They said stolen property valued at $1000 had been recovered.
