KILBERRY Valley Primary School students showed just how multicultural Melbourne is.
The Hampton Park school held a whole school Multicultural Day in which the children paraded in their national costumes.
They were also involved in a range of activities, including Indonesian-based activities throughout the day, which the students learn as their second language.
They made Indonesian masks, painted the Indonesian flag, made fried rice, played Bingo using Indonesian numbers and colours, took part in Krupuk races and learned how to play the Angklung (an Indonesian musical instrument).
Special events coordinator Lisa Cain said the day was a huge success with Indonesian coordinator Rachel Butler and her team doing a fantastic job organising the day.
On behalf of the school’s staff Ms Cain also thanked the parents for supporting the day by ensuring that their child could participate in national dress.
