Power tools stolen from ute

POWER tools were stolen from a locked toolbox in the back of a ute in Cranbourne on Monday.
The ute was parked in the car park outside Sydney’s Lounges at the Homemaker Centre on the corner of Thompsons Rd and the South Gippsland Highway.
The owner of the red Nissan Nivara ute had been at Bunnings Warehouse between 2.30pm and 3.30pm.
He came outside to find $4000 worth of power tools, including a nine-inch grinder and hammer drill, missing.
Police said the thief forced the lock to a toolbox.
The owner found the broken lock lying on the ground next to his vehicle.
Any witnesses are urged to call Detective Senior Constable Mark Wiederhold at Cranbourne CIU on 5991 0661.
