A HAMPTON Park woman has been found dead in her home and her husband charged with murder.
Police were called to a house in Michelle Drive at about 2.30pm on Tuesday where the body of the 33-year-old woman was found.
Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the death of the mother of five children, the eldest of which is 11.
Detectives said there were two children in the house at the time, aged three months and 18 months, and both were unharmed.
The woman’s husband, a 43-year-old man, was arrested at the house and was remanded in custody.
Soltan Azizi, 43, of Michelle Drive, Hampton Park, was yesterday (Wednesday) charged with one count of murder and was remanded to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court.
A crime scene has been established at the house while investigations continue.
Detectives have not yet revealed the cause of death of the woman.
