Home care gets help

CRANBOURNE’S home and community care services are set to expand following the announcement of a $1.5 million State Government grant.
HACC provides home care, allied health, meals on wheels, social support and personal care to support frail, older Victorians and people with disabilities who are living at home.
Cranbourne MP Jude Perera said the $1,562,836.80 grant would help older people and those with disabilities maintain a decent quality of life.
“I am pleased to announce this new growth funding to help older people and those with disabilities to live independently at home.
“This funding boost will provide people using HACC services with more home care, more personal care, and more nursing and allied health care. It will also help frail older people and those with disabilities to remain active and socially connected,” he said.
Growth fund details are available on the Human Services website at www.health.vic.gov.au/hacc.
