POLICE are renewing calls for witnesses in relation to an attack on a Hampton Park woman as she slept in her own home.
The 21-year-old woman was woken on Saturday, 17 March at 10.30pm with a man on top of her with his hand on her mouth.
Police said he then tried to choke her and struck her with a baseball bat before the woman kicked him off and he fled the Huntingdon Drive home.
Police have interviewed a 32-year-old man from Edeys Run, Hampton Park, who is assisting police with their inquiries. However, police are still seeking witnesses.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Senior Constable Tim Gleeson at Cranbourne CIU or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
