PEARCEDALE locals celebrated last week as renovations were completed on the public hall.
Casey mayor Colin Butler joined nearly 50 guests for morning tea to open the extension of the Pearcedale Public Hall.
The hall’s committee of management also celebrated as the long-awaited storeroom extensions wrapped up.
President Maureen Smollen said the renovations made the hall a premier venue for any type of function, especially weddings.
“The mayor Colin Butler, officers from the City of Casey along with over 40 invited guests all agreed that this was a great venue and that the extensions have not taken away the character, warmth and charm of bygone years,” Mrs Smollen said.
She said any couple considering a wedding venue for about 80 guests should take the time to check out the Pearcedale Public Hall.
“They can get married in St Peters Anglican Church next door or on the grassy, treed area around the hall or even in the hall.”
