CRANBOURNE Police are on the hunt for youths who used a homemade BB gun to fire lemons at vehicles on their way to Tooradin.
A bus driver from Westernport Buses was driving through Kooweerup on the South Gippsland Highway on 27 July and was approaching the Tooradin Bridge when she heard a loud bang.
She saw flying fruit and stopped the bus to see a couple of kids running from the scene with the makeshift gun. Police said it appeared the kids had been firing at the bus with the gun, which was loaded with lemons.
Any witnesses are asked to contact the officer in charge at Cranbourne Uniform on 5991 0600.
