Watch for the kick-flips

HAMPTON PARK’S youths will soon have reason to rejoice with the Cairns Road Reserve skate park set to open for kick-flips within the next two months.
The need for recreation facilities in the park was highlighted recently at the Casey Council’s Speak Out event.
Construction has begun on the skate park, which Casey mayor Colin Butler says is very accessible to young people in the growing town.
“It’s in close proximity to nearby schools, has existing car park facilities, recreation and play equipment, including a BMX bike track and playground, which all contribute to the family-based environment at the reserve.”
“With close to 50,000 people aged 10 to 24 living in Casey, the council is committed to addressing issues and delivering services to this large section of our community.”
