POLICE are searching for motorbike gear worth $20,000 stolen from Lynbrook.
About 50 motorbike jackets, pants, tools and a motorbike were taken from a residential property on Baynton Crescent some time between 8pm last Thursday and 9am on Saturday.
The gear had been stored at the house while the owners were setting up shop.
Police said thieves forced a side door to the garage, taking the clothing from shelving and the motorbike.
The motorbike was a yellow and black Suzuki GSXR 750 with personalised registration plate OPMD.
The jackets were imported from Pakistan, come in a range of colours and army colours and all bear labels with BG (Biker’s Garage).
Detective Sergeant Larry Grimshaw from Cranbourne CIU said the pants and jackets were very identifiable items and police would be looking in all the usual outlets.
These include the Trading Post, markets and eBay, among others.
Anyone with information can contact Detective Senior Constable Ollie Gaspari from the Cranbourne CIU on 5991 0661.
