Switch on to school TV

AND now for the weather at Courtenay Gardens Primary School…
The Cranbourne school’s grade sixes have launched their first live morning television show through its new multimedia studio.
The children were over the moon on Monday when they went to air, broadcasting live around the school to eager viewers at 9am.
While still in its infancy, teacher Lauren Van Rooyen said there was much excitement about the future look and feel of the project.
The school was last year successful in obtaining a government grant to support the launch of the studio.
Ms Van Rooyen said the TV signal would broadcast senior grades to begin with, conducting formal weather reports, science experiments, singing, plays and important announcements.
She said each grade would be rostered on and invited to participate and present the program.
Grade 6C broadcasted the first live morning show and others will soon follow.
