Scorpions share skills with the kids

THE Casey Scorpions kicked off the VFL season last week by sharing their footy skills with some local youngsters.
The community kick around was organised by property company Peet Limited, new Casey Scorpions sponsor, which opened up Brookland Greens Estate in Cranbourne so the local children could get a taste of footy life.
The junior football players had a ball with their senior stars as they competed for prizes.
The afternoon of free footy activities not only aimed to help the kids brush up on their footy skills but also included activities, training drills, games, giveaways, refreshments and a kicking competition.
This year Peet will host the inaugural Peet Cup on 2 June to be televised on ABC.
Peet Limited managing director Warwick Hemsley said the winning team would be awarded an impressive custom-built trophy.
“The Peet Cup provides a perfect combination of family fun and community interaction and the team at Peet is thrilled to sponsor Casey Scorpions Football Club and the Peet Cup. At Peet, we are focused on supporting community development and providing opportunities for involvement.
“The relationship with Casey Football Club provides us with the chance to interact with the whole community with a variety of events,” Mr Hemsley said.
