Cranbourne police have launched an operation to combat vandalism and wild party behaviour on weekends .
Operation Zero Tolerance will see uniformed officers and plain-clothed detectives out on the streets to help clean up reckless behaviour.
They will target youths wandering the streets, drinking on the streets, property damage, theft from motor cars and out-of-control parties.
Detective Sergeant Larry Grimshaw from Cranbourne CIU said the idea was to saturate the area with officers, speak to people on the streets to let their presence be felt and visit registered parties.
The operation comes after a growing number of vandalism incidents, thefts of and from cars and assaults late in the night in the Cranbourne response zone.
