THE power of pedal was put to the test recently as Tooradin students endured 16 hours in a human powered vehicle event.
Tooradin Primary School students were part of the drama at the Wonthaggi Grand Prix with the school team pedalling 10 hours on the first day and six hours on the second.
Teacher Sue Tobin said it was spills, thrills and excitement.
“For those who have never been to a HPV event, if you get an opportunity, take it,” Ms Tobin said.
“It has action, excitement, speed, colour, movement, noise and drama.”
Ms Tobin said the students were very keen to continue on with the new venture and looked forward to encouraging other students to take part in the event.
The school is now preparing for the Casey-Cardinia Cycling Festival to be held on 27 May.
