BANKED up traffic from people eager to get into Cranbourne’s McDonald’s restaurant has caused Casey Council to look at the traffic problem.
After last week’s council meeting, council officers will now investigate all possible alternatives to alleviate traffic near the intersection of Camms Road and the South Gippsland Highway.
Mayor Kevin Bradford said all the cars turning right into McDonald’s were banking up on to Camms Road.
Cr Bradford said that from the McDonald’s driveway to the South Gippsland Highway intersection, only four cars could fit.
“This is causing untold problems and traffic delays,” he said.
He suggested an entrance at Cranbourne Place Drive could help alleviate the problem.
“We need some alternative or there will be a potentially devastating accident.”
