Families frolic in the cool of the pool

CRANBOURNE families frolicked in the water at the YMCA Wet and Wild Family Day at the Cranbourne Pool last Friday.
There were activities and attractions on offer for all ages, including the giant Pool Run and Slide, Basil the Jumping Castle, an interactive Kids Craft class and sausage sizzle.
Children were also delighted with a special visit from the Pool Guy in his sombrero, who entertained with prizes and lucky dips.
Cranbourne YMCA branch manager Maurice Rossetti said he was delighted to see so many families at the pool.
“There were about 220 children and around 130 parents, grandparents and guardians all joining in on the day’s activities,” Mr Rossetti said.
Operations team leader Andrew Beazley said it was great to see the kids having such a good time while escaping the heat of the summer.
“It was also fantastic to see the mums and dads joining in with kids in all the activities,” he said.
He said some parents were even seen going down the pool slide and bouncing around in the Jumping Castle with their children.
The Wet and Wild Family Days are held every school holidays. For more information on the Cranbourne Indoor Pool call 5996 1753.
