Events create bonds

CASEY residents are being encouraged to help celebrate Christmas by attending one of the many events across the city during the festive season.
Some of this year’s Christmas events include:
· Casey Carols by Twilight from 6.30pm on Sunday, 24 December at Max Pawsey Reserve, Magid Drive, Narre Warren.
· Christmas Race Day from noon to 5pm on Sunday, 24 December at Cranbourne Racecourse, Grant Street, Cranbourne. Cost is $12 adults and $8 concession.
Casey mayor Colin Butler said local Christmas festivities were a great way to celebrate the year, meet new friends and continue to build strong communities.
“I encourage residents to participate in the many community Christmas events supported by council,” he said.
For more information on Christmas events held throughout December, contact Customer Service on 9705 5200 for a copy of the Calendar of Community Events or visit the council’s website at www.casey .vic.gov.au/events.
