A CRANBOURNE North man was viciously assaulted and robbed on a Cranbourne-bound train last Friday.
The 28-year-old was approached by four men of Islander appearance on the Cranbourne train about 8pm last Friday.
Police said the men asked him for cash, but he refused and they assaulted him.
They pushed him out of the train on to the platform at Merinda Park Railway Station, got out after him and then stole cash and alcohol from the man before fleeing.
Police are urgently appealing for witnesses who might have been on the train.
