Car crash damages boat

A CAR lost control in Blind Bight yesterday morning (Wednesday), crashing through a fence.
The accident happened on notorious Warneet Road at 2.40am, with the car crashing into a residential property, hitting a boat on its way.
The car knocked the motor off the boat before landing on its roof in the driveway.
Sergeant Nick Sigge from Hastings Police Station said the car was driven by a 19-year-old woman with a 29-year-old man in the passenger seat.
He said the car rolled on impact with the boat. Both the man and the woman were airlifted by helicopter to The Alfred hospital.
They were believed to have non-life threatening injuries.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the officer in charge at Hastings Police Station on.
