Police said the Haines Hunter worth $26,000 went missing from a business on Loch Street. It was there to be repaired. The locks had been cut including the trailer lock. The motor had been removed using an oxyacetylene welder, suggesting the thieves knew what they were doing.
Someone had also attempted to set fire to the boat using petrol however the fire did not take.
