A CRANBOURNE man was attacked with a piece of wood and stabbed as he went for a stroll on Friday morning.
Police said the 36-year-old man was walking along Camms Road near McDonald’s just before 2.30am on his regular walk.
Two men approached him, but he ignored them.
He then turned around to see what they wanted and one of the men hit him across the face with a piece of wood.
The walker fell to the ground and was kicked and struck with the wood by both men and stabbed in the left side of his stomach with a sharp object.
The attackers then fled.
The man made it home but was later rushed to the Frankston Hospital with a suspected broken collarbone, nose and ribs.
