Vandals’ mindless attack not so cool for primary school

PEARCEDALE Primary School students could be in for a hot few weeks after mindless vandals damaged several air-conditioning units at the school.
The senseless attack occurred sometime over the two-week school holiday break in late September and resulted in seven units being broken.
Police said the vandals climbed on to the roof of the primary school and kicked the air-conditioners.
Assistant principal Jeff Mead said the units would be repaired but the damage was still concerning to the school.
“The whole thing is really frustrating for the school community. It was just senseless damage,” he said.
“We will have to wait for a period of time for the units to be fixed.”
Police are appealing for anyone who may have any information about the vandalism to call 5991 0600.
