Man punched, robbed

A CRANBOURNE man was robbed as he walked along South Gippsland Highway on Saturday night.
The 25-year-old man was walking north in the service road opposite the Settlement Hotel in Cranbourne at 10.15pm when two men approached him on the footpath.
One of the men punched him in the face, forcing him to the ground.
They then ordered him to take off his shoulder bag.
The man handed over his bag, which contained clothes and a mobile phone. The two men then fled north up the South Gippsland Highway.
Both men were described as of solid build, about 19 years, of Islander appearance, with black hair. One of the men was wearing a dark-coloured baseball cap.
The victim suffered slight injuries.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Senior Constable Peter Carroll at Cranbourne CIU on 5991 0661.
