Man charged over firebomb incident

POLICE have charged a Hampton Park man with stalking after an incident in Doveton earlier this month.
The 32-year-old is also charged with intentionally causing serious injury.
Police said a Dorothy Street property suffered about $15,000 fire damage after a Molotov cocktail was thrown through the window of the house.
No one was inside the house at the time of the fire.
The man is due to appear before the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on 1 May.

TWO Cranbourne residents have been charged in relation to a theft in Harkaway.
A 23-year-old man and 20-year-old woman were charged with burglary and theft after an air-conditioner and fridge were stolen from a shipping container in Hessell Road.
Police said the air-conditioner had been located, but the fridge was yet to be found.
Both residents have been ordered to appear before the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on 1 May.

THIEVES broke into Cranbourne’s Casey Indoor Sports Complex last week.
Some time between 10pm last Thursday, 15 February and 11.45am on Friday, 16 February, offenders entered the facility, located on Berwick-Cranbourne Road.
They then went to the netball and basketball office through the side door, searched the premises and left.
Police said it was not yet known what was stolen.

A CRANBOURNE North woman interrupted a burglar after returning home with her children.
Police said the woman left her Brentwood Drive home about 12.45pm, returning with her two children at 3.15pm on Monday, 12 February.
When they were in the house, she heard a bang and the dog barking.
The woman found the laundry door ajar and a side sliding aluminium door open.
Nothing was stolen.

BURGLARS were scared off after entering a home in Cranbourne South last Thursday.
Police said the offenders went into the Madelyn Court house via a back sliding door, which had been left unlocked.
The house alarm went off about 1.30pm when the thieves entered and they then fled.
Police said nothing was stolen.
