Chicken shop burgled

A CHICKEN shop in Cranbourne West was burgled and vandalised on the weekend.
Some time between 9pm on Saturday and 9am on Sunday, the rear door to Charcoal Chicken on Cranbourne-Frankston Road was forced open with a jemmy.
A Sony television and a DVD player as well as cash from the till were stolen.
The offenders then opened the fridges and threw frozen chooks around the store.
The incident comes after three similar incidents last week in which stores were broken into and food or items thrown around in Hampton Park, Cranbourne North and Cranbourne all on the same night.
Police did not believe this incident was related to the previous ones.
Contact Detective Sergeant Larry Grimshaw at Cranbourne CIU on 5991 0661.
