Car torched at weekend party

POLICE are searching for gatecrashers at a Cranbourne party who they suspect of setting fire to a car.
On Sunday 1 April just after 4am a group of gatecrashers were turned away from a party on Cranbourne Drive.
About 10 minutes later, partygoers heard a bang and found a car parked on the nature strip outside the house had been set on fire.
Police said someone had poured petrol or some sort of accelerant on the vehicle then set it alight.
The car, a 1989 silver Holden Commodore sedan, belonged to one of the guests at the party.
Anyone who might have descriptions of the gatecrashers or who saw someone suspicious at that time is urged to call Senior Constable Lee Mainee at Cranbourne Uniform on 5991 0600.
