Thieves carry out raids on new houses

THIEVES are again targeting houses under construction in Cranbourne.
Between 10pm last Thursday and 7am on Friday, a house on Kingsbarn Court was broken into.
Burglars entered through the ensuite window, detaching the flywire screen and breaking the window.
They then stole a large quantity of wall tiles that were ready to be installed.
The following night another house, which was in lockup stage, was broken into on the same street.
Thieves broke into the garage by forcing the door, then accessed the house through an internal door.
They then stole a chrome rangehood stove top and oven and removed carpets from one of the bedrooms.
The stolen items were valued at $3000.
Anyone with information is asked to call Senior Constable Tracey Arnold at Cranbourne CIU on 5991 0661.
