Teenager charged after hoon alert

A CRANBOURNE teenager has been arrested over hoon charges around the suburb.
Police were called to Gowrie Road, Cranbourne, with a hoon alert about 10.30pm on 24 August with a car carrying five teenagers doing doughnuts and burnouts.
Police pursued the car in a high-speed chase along High Street, through Prita Place, Central Parkway, Camms Road and the South Gippsland Highway before eventually intercepting the car at Endeavour Drive in Cranbourne when the car blew its engine.
It was just metres from the driver’s house.
An 18-year-old Cranbourne man was charged with conduct endangering life and conduct endangering serious injury.
He is to appear before court at a later date.
The four passengers in the car were released without charge.
