Snap a winning smile

CENTRO Shopping Centre is giving Cranbourne residents a reason to smile.
The centre this week launched a ‘Smile with Centro’ community photography competition to give locals the chance to win $10,000 cash.
One of last year’s finalists Cranbourne’s Lisa McDonald said she saw the competition at the shops and decided to enter a few pictures online.
“It was just a bit of fun, I never expected to make it into the final 20,” she said.
Ms McDonald said the photo that made the finals was taken on a holiday in Bali.
“The title of the competition was to enter a photo that makes you smile and this photo always did,” she said.
“The photo was blown up and made into a poster then displayed at the shopping centre. After the competition I got to keep the blown-up copy which was really special.”
Centro Cranbourne marketing manager Sally Curtis said ‘Smile with Centro’ was all about giving people an opportunity to make others smile and that was the ultimate aim.
“We’re encouraging local residents to come together and share their magic moments and show the rest of Australia that Cranbourne has plenty to smile about,” she said.
Photos can be entered online at www.smilewithcentro.com.au until 27 July or pick up an entry form at Centro.
The top 20 local photos will be exhibited at Centro Cranbourne between 13 and 31 August, with the national winner announced on 24 August.
