IT WAS all wheels go at Tooradin Primary School last term.
Students from grades three to six took part in a bike ed course over a week. The kids enjoyed bike activities while learning the skills needed to be safe when they ride on the roads, including riding skills, road rules and basic bike maintenance.
Bike ed coordinator at the school Adrian Cahill said Leading Senior Constable Greg Patterson spoke to a group of children about the importance of wearing bike helmets and answered many interesting questions.
Mr Cahill said the feedback from the children was very positive.
“Bike ed is so much fun,” grade five student Joey said.
Grade four Maddy said it was a fun way to learn to be safe on the road while Mitch in grade three said the course was quite a challenge.
