Man in party stabbing

A MAN was stabbed outside a Cranbourne North party on the weekend.
Police said two parties, both held in Balook Court on Saturday night, were crashed by a large group of youths.
The parties were unrelated and police said it was a coincidence that they were held on the same night.
One of the partygoers, a 20-year-old man, was stabbed in the back with a knife about 12.50am on Sunday.
He was treated at Dandenong Hospital and later released.
Police said the stabbing happened in the street outside the parties and it was unclear how the incident started.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
Anyone with information can contact Detective Senior Constable Mark Wiederhold at Cranbourne CIU on 5991 0661.
