C’mon, give court a shot for free

EVER wanted to pick up a tennis racquet but have been too scared to give it a shot? C’mon!
The Cranbourne South Tennis Club is holding a free tennis day to entice potential Hewitts and Moliks into the sport.
Sponsored by Tennis Victoria, there will be plenty of games, prizes and raffles, and a free barbecue for the whole family.
Loan racquets are available and qualified tennis coaches will be on hand to give handy hints to have participants serving aces in no time.
Cranbourne South Tennis Club secretary Lynette Kelleher said the day was a great introduction to tennis and encouraged people from all walks of life to the one-off event.
“Everyone is invited to come and have a go, even if you have never picked up a racquet before,” she said.
“We want to get people who have never had anything to do with tennis before to see what a great game it is.
“It is also a fantastic opportunity to get people active and out of the house.
“Come along and meet new people. It will be a really fun day for the whole family.”
The free tennis day will be held from noon to 6pm on Saturday, 4 March at Cranbourne South Tennis Club, corner Browns Road and Langley Road, Cranbourne South.
