Casey feast of activities

CASEY’S teens were treated to a range of winter fun activities over the school holidays.
The most popular event was a day at the Snow Dome in the city where the youngsters threw snowballs at each other and at snowmen targets, enjoyed carnival rides, stage shows and ice sport demonstrations at the Winter Wonderland event.
About 50 teenagers also had a ball at a day out at Luna Park, where they enjoyed unlimited rides for three hours.
Casey chief executive Mike Tyler said the City of Casey’s Teenage School Holiday Program continued to be popular among local kids, with something on offer for everyone.
Other activities included an arts day where young people made tea light holders out of wine glasses, decorating them in lots of unique ways. They also tie- dyed singlets and pillowcases.
The cooking day was another success with 20 young people cooking up a feast of lasagne and hedgehog for dessert.
The Dandenong Rangers Basketball Clinic event was also highly talked about, with two members of the Dandenong Rangers Men’s Team taking 30 teens through various skills and drills, and ending with a match.
