Water grants

CASEY community groups have been urged to apply for a government grant to encourage their water-saving. Sporting clubs, schools, service clubs, local government and other community organisations are being encouraged to apply for a Community Water Grant.
It is part of the second round of the Federal Government’s $200 million water-saving program. In round one of the program, 1750 water-saving projects were funded and are expected to save 18 billion litres a year.
Application forms and guidelines are available at www.australia.gov.au/communitywatergrants or by phoning 1800 780 730. Applications close on 25 August.

Funding of up to $50,000 will be provided for water saving, recycling and treatment projects that demonstrate community involvement and a clear public benefit.
