Thieves hit staffrooms

CRANBOURNE police have sent out a warning to local businesses to lock their staffrooms.
The warning comes after several staffrooms at local shops were robbed in Cranbourne and Hampton Park recently.
In the most recent robbery, a man entered the Rivers store on Thompsons Road on 6 January and stole purses and wallets from the staffroom.
He was described as 180 centimetres, with blond hair and wearing a blue tank top, bright blue shorts and thongs.
On 29 November, two men targeted staff belongings at two major supermarkets in Hampton Park.
Police said the men entered the women’s staff change rooms at Bi-Lo, ransacking three personal lockers and stealing two purses and two mobile phones.
They also entered Safeway’s staff locker rooms in the same shopping complex but nothing was stolen. Police are reviewing security footage.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Senior Constable Fernando Cartagena at Cranbourne CIU on 5991 0661.
