Thanks for responding to call

THE call went out and now young Casey kids will benefit from a new community program.
The Cranbourne Communities for Children initiative has been developed for children under five and will be launched in Cranbourne next week.
Months of consultation with the public have gone into making sure the program will benefit young children and their parents in the best possible ways.
Jumping castles, face-painting, give-aways and a range of other activities are planned for the first event at Clydesdale Square outside Cranbourne Centro shopping centre.
The fun day will be free for everyone and has been organised as a way of saying thank you to the community members who contributed ideas to the program.
Kevin Noonan, Windermere Child and Family Services marketing and development manager, said organisers are hoping for as many people as possible to attend the launch and enjoy the day.
“There will be lots of stalls and prizes. It should be a great day,” Mr Noonan said.
The program is aimed at giving young children the best possible start in life and will help influence their family and social environments in a positive way.
Individual programs developed include a pre and post-natal depression course designed to help parents through the birth process and a program to assist fathers in connecting with their children during the infancy years.
The program will also focus on improving children’s wellbeing in the areas of health, early learning and development.
Windermere will take responsibility for all programs run as part of the Cranbourne Communities for Children.
The day will start at 3pm on Friday, 27 October and finish at 6pm.
