Police seize drugs, cash

THREE Cranbourne East men have been arrested after a massive haul of drugs and stolen property in raids across Melbourne.
The men, aged 34, 26 and 23, were charged with trafficking, possessing and using methylamphetamine, handling stolen goods and possessing a dangerous weapon.
The arrests came after police executed a number of warrants in Mill Park, Dandenong and Cranbourne on Friday.
The premises were searched as part of a four-and-a-half month investigation by Taskforce 500 into a number of men who were reportedly selling stolen property.
Items also seized included more than $80,000 cash, a high performance motor car, tool boxes and commercial tools, computer equipment, and electrical goods including plasma televisions.
Police said the property had been identified as being stolen during commercial burglaries in various suburbs across metropolitan Melbourne.
A 30-year-old man from Epping was expected to be charged on summons with trafficking, possessing and using amphetamine.
Police said it was likely he would also be charged with numerous counts of handling stolen goods and possessing proceeds of crimes.
A 37-year-old Dandenong man was interviewed by police in relation to handling stolen goods but was later released pending further inquiries.
The three Cranbourne East men have been bailed to appear at the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on 13 March.
