Police appeal for sex attack witnesses

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to the sexual assault of a woman in Cranbourne on the weekend.
It is believed the 31yearold was travelling with a male passenger after leaving Frankston when the incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The woman was later pushed out of a burgundycoloured car in the Cranbourne area at about 5.30am.
She managed to flag down a passing motorist who drove her to the Cranbourne Police Station.
The details of the man who drove her to the police station are unknown.
Police are appealing for this man to contact them and any person who may have seen the woman or a burgundycoloured vehicle in the Cranbourne area between 5am and 5.30am on Saturday.
