Maccas’ meal charity deal

MCDONALD’S Cranbourne will focus its efforts off cooking burgers and onto raising money for sick children this Saturday.
As part of McHappy Day, the store will donate $1 from every Big Mac sold to the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
Casey mayor Kevin Bradford launched the appeal last week and will this Saturday appear at the store along with the local Classic and Rod Club, members of the Country Fire Authority, including Captain Koala, and local police.
The store has already started selling wristbands to help raise funds for the charity.
McDonald’s Cranbourne store manager Christine Bucello said McHappy Day was the one day in the year where thousands of Australians got together to work behind the counters of McDonald’s restaurants to raise money and help bring some smiles to seriously ill and special children across Australia.
There will be plenty of fun in-store for children with giveaways and face painting.
Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) supports a number of programs throughout Australia that help seriously ill children live happier, healthier lives.
These include Ronald McDonald Houses, which provide a home-away-from-home for seriously ill children and their families, the Ronald McDonald Learning Program, an educational catch up program for children whose education has been disrupted by serious illness, Ronald McDonald Beach Houses, Ronald McDonald Family Rooms and RMHC Cord Blood Bank.
Visit McDonald’s Cranbourne this Saturday on the corner of Camms Road and the South Gippsland Highway, Cranbourne.
