THE City of Casey has cut its greenhouse gas emissions in a record year for the municipality.
The city recorded a saving of 112,038 tonnes of carbon dioxide-equivalent (CO2e) last year.
Projects included flaring landfill gas, recycling and introducing LCD computer screens.
Recycling in the community helped save 32,675 tonnes of CO2e.
