Armed raiders hit at 3am

TWO Cranbourne housemates received a rude awakening when armed raiders broke into their Rosalie Avenue home early on Thursday morning.
About 3am, two offenders – one armed with a hammer and a knife – kicked open the front door and entered the bedrooms of the sleeping victims.
One victim awoke to the shadow of someone standing beside his bed before the offender yelled “you robbed the wrong place” and struck the victim in the knee with a hammer. The raiders ransacked both bedrooms, stole a wallet containing $100 cash and quickly left the house.
One of the housemates gave chase down Rosalie Avenue, but the offenders entered a waiting car and drove off.
Anyone with information about the incident can call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
