POLICE are searching for arsonists who lit a fire in Cranbourne last Thursday.
The fire was started in grassland and bush on the east side of South Gippsland Highway in Cranbourne between Elizabeth Street and Courtenay Avenue.
Police said the fire was deliberately lit in scrub about 4pm and quickly spread.
The CFA was called and extinguished the blaze.
Witnesses are urged to contact the officer in charge at Cranbourne CIU on 5991 0661.
