Cheers, 30 years

LOCALS were treated to champagne and nibblies with their haircuts as a Cranbourne hair salon celebrated its 30th anniversary.
Stag Hair Studio was opened at its High Street shop by hairdresser Maurice Cohen in 1977 .
It was passed down the generations and is now in the hands of Frank Burgos, who used to work for Mr Cohen.
Last Friday, customers had their hair styled while they feasted on food platters, champagne, wine and beer.
There was also something for the littlies with a sausage sizzle, face painting and balloons throughout the day.
Customers were also presented with gift bags with plenty of vouchers and specials to cater for the beauty side of things.
“The day went really well,” Mr Burgos said. “The business has always been in the family and we have always had the same customer base.
“This was a way to say thank you to our customers for coming to us over the years.
“And the customers were really surprised and happy that we put it on for them.”
Stag Hair Studio is at 118 High Street. Phone: 5996 4750.
