All you need to know about partying

THE State Government has introduced a program that offers $6000 grants to councils to localise a street party kit that will include advice on council planning permit requirements and public liability insurance.
Cranbourne MP Jude Perera said the kit would make it easy for neighbours and community groups to “gather around a barbecue”.
Mr Perera said the money could be used to buy equipment, including a barbecue, tables, chairs and street barricades.
Each council receiving a grant will also receive two large café-style umbrellas printed with the Go For Your Life logo.
The grant can also be used to meet the costs of establishing and publicising the program, including printing costs and start-up administration expenses.”
“We can live happier and healthier lives in a safer neighbourhood if neighbours and friends get outside together, enjoy the summer weather and get active,” Mr Perera said.
