A RECENT spate of thefts from cars in the Cranbourne area has prompted a police warning for motorists to lock their cars.
Detective Sergeant Larry Grimshaw said a number of cars had been broken into at Centro Cranbourne shopping centre in the past month, with unlocked cars making easy prey for thieves.
He said people had reported losing laptops, sunglasses, mobile phones and purses left inside their cars.
Det Sgt Grimshaw said. “Make sure you remove or hide all property inside the car and lock all the doors.”
