Rider thrown off bike

A NINETEEN-year-old motocrossrider has been taken to hospital with spinal injuries after he was thrown off his motorbike in Pearcedale on Tuesday.
Police said the man was practising motocross laps on a property in Pearcedale Road at 5.50pm when the incident happened.
The man had gone over a jump and was flung from the motorcycle when he landed.
He was thrown over the handlebars with the motorcycle landing on top of him.
The injured man was flown to the Royal Melbourne Hospital for treatment.
