One-horse race?

THE Liberal Party is heading for annihilation in the seat of Holt, according to punters betting with Sportingbet Australia.
Labor MP Anthony Byrne is the hot favourite to win the seat at $1.05, while Liberal candidate Emanuele Cicchiello is struggling to raise any interest with punters at $7.
Punters are so sure Mr Byrne will win, one confident person has already placed a $10,000 bet on the favourite.
Sportingbet Australia chief executive Michael Sullivan said the punters’ support for Mr Byrne had been overwhelming with all money bet on the seat directed at him.
“The Labor party has attracted some big bets even at these short odds, with the biggest bet of $10,000 backing Mr Byrne at early odds of $1.30,” he said.
